Curry Puffs, Singapore

Singapore

Our first morning wandering around the west of Singapore after dropping our passports at the Vietnamese embassy for visa's....we found this dude selling curry puffs at the exit of Commonwealth MRT station. We haven't seen any food vendor's on the street here and a lot of people were buying so we were interested. He had two types packed into a plastic lined cardboard box (a lot more mobile that way...is selling food on the street legal here??) the standard curry potato and sardine with onion.... S$2 for 3.

Singapore

The pastry was nice and flaky and the potato filling not too sweet or overpowering with curry .. although the real suprise here was the sardine which was not to fishy (as sardines can tend to be) in a mild tomato sauce. mmmmmmmmm good. We could have easily gone back for another round but with a big lunch planned in Chinatown, we had to resist.

Hope you're there next time curry puff dude.
